What you will do

• Assemble electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment based on engineering drawings.
• Interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and specifications for production tasks.
• Perform panel testing, including current injection testing.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance, site modifications, and thermal imaging inspections.
• Collaborate with supervisors to assemble prototype and development units.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment while adhering to quality standards.

Requirements

• City & Guilds Electrical Qualification and completed Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or equivalent.
• Time-served Electrician or Technician status.
• Proven experience in electrical switchgear manufacture or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency in panel wiring including PLCs, MCCs, and control panels.
• Ability to work independently and support site-based activities as required.

Nice to have

• Current 18th Edition Certification.
• Field service or on-site installation experience.
• Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Mechanical knowledge.
