TL;DR

Location: Remote (Must be based in the USA or Canada)

Salary: $160,000 – $270,000

What you will do

  • Lead and develop a team of IC data scientists, setting direction and managing professional growth.
  • Own POC/POV delivery by partnering with enterprise customers to demonstrate fraud-loss reduction and ROI.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach by building ML models and conducting in-depth fraud analyses.
  • Design dashboards and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of risk strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and GTM teams to scale models into production.
  • Mentor the team on modeling rigor, data storytelling, and high-impact client communication.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in fraud/risk data science and analytics within fintech or payments.
  • 2–3 years in a people leadership role (team lead or manager).
  • Strong technical proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Proven track record with applied ML in production, specifically anomaly detection, classification, and graph analytics.
  • Expertise in BI and dashboarding tools such as Sigma, Tableau, or Metabase.
  • Must be located in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with real-time decision infrastructure like Flink, Kafka, or feature stores.
  • Professional background in a high-growth fintech or financial institution.
