What you will do

• Lead the architecture, development, and operation of identity infrastructure across cloud platforms and internal systems.
• Design and evolve systems for authentication, authorization, access governance, auditability, and policy enforcement.
• Build foundational infrastructure and platform capabilities used broadly across engineering, research, and security teams.
• Improve the reliability, observability, performance, and operational maturity of identity infrastructure.
• Drive high-impact technical initiatives and align stakeholders across security, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to build scalable access patterns and maintain strong security boundaries.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale infrastructure, platform, or backend systems.
• Deep expertise with cloud infrastructure, identity systems, distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with proficiency in Go, Rust, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and driving architecture in ambiguous environments.
• Proven ability to build security-critical systems involving privileged access or policy enforcement.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
