Software-Defined Network Engineer (NSX-T)

TL;DR

Software-Defined Network Engineer (NSX-T): Designing and managing software-defined networks using VMware NSX and Cisco ACI with an accent on network security and automation. Focus on automating SDN configurations via APIs, resolving complex data center operational issues, and integrating network services with firewalls and load balancers.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Czech Republic: Prague, Brno, or Pardubice), 2 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Manage and configure software-defined networks (SDN) using VMware NSX and Cisco ACI in data centers.
• Configure NSX-T firewalls to ensure network security and efficiency.
• Automate bulk SDN network configurations utilizing native API interfaces.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for integration with firewalls, load balancers, Cisco ISE, IPAM, CMDB, and ServiceNow.
• Analyze and resolve complex operational problems within network infrastructure and data centers.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to the creation of network security standards.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and layer architecture.
• Experience with SDN networks in data centers and VMware technologies, including containerization.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Czech language proficiency (required).
• English level B2.
• Valid Driver's license (category B).
