TL;DR

Journeyman User Support Specialist (IT): Providing high-priority technical infrastructure support and identity management for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program with an accent on escalated network troubleshooting and VIP user support. Focus on resolving complex workstation configuration issues, performing root-cause analysis, and maintaining system stability within strict SLAs.

Location: Must be based in St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Salary: $21 - $35 Hourly

What you will do

  • Provide high-priority technical support for infrastructure and identity management systems.
  • Resolve complex workstation network topology and configuration issues for VIP users.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent remediation for system incidents.
  • Document engineering work logs and configuration changes within enterprise ITSM systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resolution with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineering teams.
  • Author internal technical procedures and administrative documentation.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE) required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support or commensurate technical background.
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows, Active Directory, and Azure environments.
  • Operational knowledge of Exchange, SharePoint, and remote desktop server environments.
  • Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (2nd Shift).

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks.
