Location: Remote (Must be based in the USA). Core team overlap hours: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM PT.

What you will do

• Drive the technical vision and architecture for Aerial Capture, establishing clean code standards and making key architectural decisions.
• Serve as a primary code contributor and lead projects end-to-end to ensure predictable delivery and technical quality.
• Develop and test directly on autonomous drones and sensor payloads for field hardware integrations and data processing.
• Provide hands-on mentorship, pairing, and direct technical feedback to elevate the team's engineering bar.
• Manage system health, reliability, and maintainability while actively reducing technical debt.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate technical trade-offs and project status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in full stack software development with a track record of delivering production-grade software.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and experience with Python.
• Solid experience with Angular (v20+) or similar modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
• Experience with RESTful and RPC API design and modern databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Strong commitment to software quality with experience in automated testing (Jest or Pytest).

Nice to have

• Experience in Java, Kotlin, or Go.
• Experience in Android app development.
