What you will do
- Design and implement responsive and physically convincing character control systems.
- Architect and extend character movement using Unreal Engine's CMC or Mover Plugin.
- Own the player-side stack, including inventory, equipment, and gameplay scripting interfaces.
- Collaborate with animators and designers to polish gameplay systems from concept to production.
- Ensure HUDs and player-facing screens are tightly coupled to the gameplay state.
- Optimize control systems for modern consoles and PCs to ensure high performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in game development.
- Deep production-proven expertise in C++ and UE5 Blueprints.
- Strong understanding of Gameplay Ability System (GAS), Enhanced Input, or other UE5 frameworks.
- Hands-on experience customizing character movement systems (CMC or Mover).
- Extensive experience with optimization, memory management, and deterministic gameplay code.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unreal Engine performance capture pipelines and optimization.
- Experience developing gameplay systems for AAA third-person action-adventure titles.
- Proven track record of shipping games with a core focus on the "3Cs" (Character, Camera, and Controls).
