TL;DR

Location: Seattle, WA, USA (Alternate locations: Spokane, WA | Portland, OR). Only local residents of Washington and Oregon will be considered. Primarily remote (work-from-home) with occasional travel to customer sites within the territory.
Salary: $113,000–$175,000 base pay (location-dependent; bonuses and equity may apply).

What you will do
- Serve as the lead technical expert for design, deployment, and operationalization of Arista solutions for large cloud customers in the Pacific Northwest.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures; create and review network designs with best-practice recommendations.
- Lead complex migration and interconnection projects from Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba to Arista EOS-based infrastructure.
- Develop and implement network automation workflows using Python, Ansible, and DevOps frameworks to streamline configurations and operations.
- Act as a technical advocate for customers by interfacing with Arista TAC and internal development for bug scrubs, code recommendations, and feature requests.
- Support pre-sales activities (evaluation/POC), perform hands-on testing, and deliver technical training at customer/partner events.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in network engineering, consulting, or professional services for large-scale enterprise, data center, or service provider environments.
- Expert knowledge of core networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP routing (BGP, OSPF), and L2 switching (VxLAN/EVPN).
- In-depth knowledge in at least one area: data center architecture, campus networking (including NAC/802.1X), enterprise Wi-Fi, or network security.
- Hands-on experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible), with the ability to discuss specific projects and outcomes.
- Strong communication skills to present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences; ability to maintain meticulous documentation.
- Must be a local resident of Washington or Oregon.
