Merchandising Assistant (Fashion Retail)

Merchandising Assistant (Fashion Retail): Responsible for day-to-day merchandising operations, forecasting sales and stock to hit sales and margin/profit targets, and monitoring performance to identify opportunities and risks. Focus on building effective range plans with Buying teams, supporting trade plans (including WSSI), and contributing to trade meetings while developing an MA and driving strong weekly sales, stock, and intake execution.

What you will do

• Run the Merchandising department’s day-to-day operations.
• Forecast sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets.
• Monitor department performance, identifying opportunities and potential risk/loss.
• Work with Buying teams to plan and build department range plans.
• Participate in trade meetings with Heads of and Directors and evaluate department performance with a focus on lead times.
• Develop and manage an MA; manage WSSI and support trade plans.

Requirements

• Experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or within a fashion retail Merchandising team.
• Strong commercial awareness and merchandising experience supporting key business areas.
• Strong understanding of the hirify.global Design Menwear customer and trend awareness.
• Experience managing weekly sales, stock, and intake, with confidence contributing to trade meetings.
• Excellent organisational skills and clear communication across all levels.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills (reporting tools knowledge is a bonus).
