Molecular Technician (Medtech)

Location: Must be based in South San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Salary: $27 – $31 USD per hour

What you will do

• Assist with molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens following strict SOPs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control activities.
• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and inventory of supplies.
• Complete administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and spreadsheet management.
• Notify supervisors immediately of any specimen processing issues.
• Support research and validation activities as required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological sciences, or medical technology.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Must be able to work onsite in South San Francisco.
