What you will do

• Contribute to core components including LSM stores, vector indexes, filtering, and replication
• Improve filter performance at scale using roaring bitmaps and inverted indexes
• Optimize hot-path code in the storage engine focusing on memory allocation, usage, and Disk I/O
• Fine-tune embedding models, rerankers, and develop hybrid recommendation systems
• Investigate and integrate hirify.global as a library into the Golang-based Ollama inference service

Requirements

• Experience with statically typed languages: Go (preferred), C/C++, or Rust
• Relevant coursework in Databases, Information Retrieval, System Design, and Advanced Algorithms
• Must have the legal right to work in your current country of residence
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and kindness
