Location: Hamburg, Germany. Hybrid (up to 8 days of mobile work per month).

What you will do

• Analyze noise emissions from wind turbines using simulation tools and acoustic measurement techniques.
• Develop and implement design modifications to reduce aerodynamic and mechanical noise and tonal behavior.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, structural engineering, and control systems to integrate NVH optimization measures.
• Support field measurements and validation testing to verify acoustic performance.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, particularly IEC 61400.
• Create technical documentation and provide engineering guidance for internal and external interfaces.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in NVH analysis and optimization, preferably in wind energy.
• Strong knowledge of aeroacoustics, vibration analysis, and sound propagation.
• Experience with multi-body simulation software such as ANSYS, ALASKA, or SimPack.
• Familiarity with IEC 61400 and acoustic regulatory frameworks.
• Very good English skills; German language proficiency is a plus.
