What you will do

• Formulate hypotheses and design experiments to investigate molecular mechanisms of psychiatric disorders.
• Execute research using rodent models, including surgeries, behavioral assays, and histology.
• Perform transcriptomics data analysis, including bulk and single-nucleus RNA-seq.
• Interpret experimental data and publish original research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Stanley Center scientists and external partners.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field.
• 0-1+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Completion of at least one research project with a first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
• Experience with rodent models, molecular cell biology, and imaging.
• Strong initiative to drive independent experimental research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with bulk and single-nucleus RNA-seq analysis.
• Experience with brain dissection and cDNA library preparation.
