What you will do

• Own and oversee the global API distribution platform, including API routing, traffic management, and business logic processing.
• Design and evolve distributed gateway instances across multiple cloud regions to ensure consistency, resilience, and low latency.
• Develop and integrate custom plugins for policy enforcement, rate limiting, logging, and observability.
• Collaborate with Cloud SRE and Security teams to implement authentication, authorization, and deployment strategies.
• Manage customer and developer portals to optimize self-service provisioning and API discovery.
• Drive API schema governance and documentation consistency to streamline partner onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Node, or Java.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems principles.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
• Proven experience designing and operating API gateway platforms using OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration for distributed workloads.
• Background in building SDKs, developer tools, or onboarding automation.
• Exposure to AI or Model Context Protocol (MCP)-style integrations.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and edge computing.
