What you will do

• Own the end-to-end technical direction of the platform, including architectural decisions regarding microservices.
• Develop and optimize real-time systems for the driver app to ensure responsiveness under adversarial network conditions.
• Lead the engineering strategy for data privacy and system-wide privacy primitives.
• Own and expand the AI agent harness (currently in Rust) to automate internal company workflows.
• Build the London engineering hub by hiring top talent and setting the local office culture.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing backend systems from scratch, including detailed trade-off analysis.
• Deep expertise in real-time systems at consumer scale.
• Several years of engineering management experience with a track record of high-caliber hiring.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to London.
