Senior Network Engineer

What you will do

• Manage, support, and operate global SD-WAN, MAN, LAN, switching, routing, wireless, SASE, firewall, and access-control services.
• Handle network service tickets, incidents, requests, IP address management, assets, and lifecycle processes.
• Maintain and automate network documentation, standards, reusable building blocks, and deployment automation.
• Participate in network design, architecture, innovation, and multidisciplinary IT projects.
• Coordinate with outsourced service providers, contractors, airport network teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure 24×7 network and business continuity through monitoring, reporting, security policies, knowledge documentation, and proactive improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor-level higher technical education in IT or a related field.
• Active Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.
• At least 5 years of experience with routing, switching, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Experience designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and analyzing traffic in enterprise-scale networks.
• Strong analytical, communication, ownership, and teamwork skills.
• Good written and verbal English is required; Dutch is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with third-party-controlled IT environments in airports, train stations, or shopping malls.
• Experience managing outsourcing partners and negotiating with suppliers.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/2, or NIST-CSF frameworks.
• Experience with WAN optimization, SD-WAN, SASE, IPsec, PKI, TLS, patch management, and vulnerability management.
