Analytics Engineer (Data)

TL;DR

Analytics Engineer (Data): Converting raw data into semantic datasets and data products for business decision-making with an accent on data modeling and software engineering best practices. Focus on building robust data pipelines, developing reports and dashboards, and bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Location: Hybrid. Must be located in Belgium or the Netherlands and able to accommodate on-site presence of approximately three days per week.

What you will do

• Design and build data transformations to convert raw platform data into semantic datasets and usable data products.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical datasets in close collaboration with Data Stewards and business users.
• Translate business requirements and content-related questions into technical data specifications.
• Maintain the business glossary in Microsoft Purview and document datasets for business accessibility.
• Perform acceptance tests on data deliveries and resolve data quality incidents.
• Participate in agile team workflows, including code reviews and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Python and dbt.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Deep interest in data modeling and software engineering best practices.
• Must be based in Belgium or the Netherlands to meet on-site requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and knowledge sharing.
