Location: Hybrid; must be based within commutable distance to Greater Sudbury, ON and willing to travel one week per month.

What you will do

• Own the full employee lifecycle for Canadian operations, from attraction and onboarding to performance and exit.
• Serve as the primary expert on Canadian federal employment legislation and translate laws into clear policies.
• Manage the union relationship, including day-to-day contact and supporting collective agreement renegotiations.
• Design and implement leadership development programs and coach senior leaders one-on-one.
• Lead complex case management, including workplace investigations and disability management.
• Implement AI-enabled HR tools and resources to optimize leadership efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a senior HRBP role, preferably within a global technology company.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian federal employment legislation (Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Act, etc.).
• Proven experience operating in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements.
• Experience with Employment Equity and Pay Equity Act obligations and reporting.
• Hands-on experience in complex case management and workplace investigations.
• Comfort using HR data and AI/automation tools to drive insights.
