What you will do

• Prepare surfaces of metal, plastic, or composite components using sanding, grinding, blasting, or cleaning.
• Perform masking, degreasing, and inspection of parts to ensure quality compliance before finishing.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and surface preparation equipment safely.
• Interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report mechanical issues to supervision.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet departmental goals and 5S lean manufacturing standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• USA Citizenship (required for security clearance).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, etc.).
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
