Accounting Manager

Location: Philippines; remote. Work from home five days per week, with the option to work fully remotely from anywhere in the world for one month each year.

What you will do

• Oversee a portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients.
• Deliver accounting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, BAS, and tax return services.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients.
• Supervise and control delivery for remote bookkeeping clients.
• Advise clients on accounting and taxation matters while maintaining high-quality service.
• Hire, train, nurture, and develop a team of accountants.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience managing a team of accountants serving Australian clients.
• Experience managing SME client portfolios covering bookkeeping through taxation services.
• Strong team management skills, including hiring, training, and development.
• Excellent client communication and delivery organisation skills.
• Ownership, humility, structured thinking, data-driven decision-making, problem solving, and comfort with technology-enabled services.
• Consent to role-appropriate background screening, which may include education, criminal history, political exposure, bankruptcy, and adverse credit checks.

Hiring process

• Approximately 30-minute screening interview with Talent Acquisition.
• Approximately 60-minute technical interview and live accounting case study with the Hiring Manager, followed by a behavioral and soft-skills interview of approximately 45 minutes.
• One professional reference check before the final offer; the process is expected to take up to three weeks.
