About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Financial Operations & Automation Specialist to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will not only manage core accounting functions (AP/AR, Tax) but also play a key part in optimizing and automating our financial processes.

We are seeking a candidate who is highly adaptable to changing business needs, capable of working independently, and possesses a strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Automation & Development

• Participate in projects aimed at optimizing and automating accounting and finance workflows.
• Analyze operational workloads, prepare data for automation, and participate in testing and implementation of new solutions.
• Assist in the configuration and development of financial systems and integrations (specifically Xero).
• Document current processes, prepare technical instructions, and maintain the internal knowledge base.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively suggest points for optimization in daily operations.

Accounting & Compliance

• Manage primary documentation: organize the timely collection, systematization, and reflection of documents in accounting software (Xero).
• Record income, expense, and AR/AP transactions accurately in the systems.
• Conduct contractor due diligence (KYC checks) before onboarding new partners.
• Collaborate with managers to support payment processing for services (mainly Marketing).
• Execute month-end closing control procedures in Xero.
• Prepare and submit VAT (Value Added Tax) returns for tax authorities in Brazil and Mexico.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Financial Specialist.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience working with Xero (preferred).
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
