TL;DR
Data Architect (Oracle/Microsoft): Developing and maturing the data architecture strategy and roadmap to support business objectives with an accent on data governance, standards, and technology remediation. Focus on reducing architectural debt, implementing modernization opportunities, and aligning data with business and security architectures.
Location: Hybrid (Greater London, UK) — Must be able to work from the London Bridge Hub up to 2.5 days per week

What you will do
- Define and maintain the data architecture strategy and roadmap across all business capabilities.
- Establish and ensure adherence to data architecture principles, patterns, and standards.
- Evaluate data landscapes for architectural debt, modernization opportunities, and decommissioning.
- Partner with solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams to implement architecture decisions.
- Assess and recommend data technology innovations, including AI and automation.
- Maintain high-quality architectural artifacts including diagrams, catalogues, and standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience succeeding in a Data Architect role.
- Expertise in managing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Proficiency in data modelling using common languages such as UML or Archimate.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
- Understanding of CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence at all organizational levels.
