What you will do

• Build and scale tax calculation and reporting logic within the Billing team.
• Integrate third-party tax providers to expand system capabilities.
• Improve system resilience, uptime, and reliability of the Taxes module.
• Make critical architectural decisions and set the technical direction for the product.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers as the team expands.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• 1.5+ years of commercial development experience with Go.
• Strong understanding of high-load system design and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with message queues or streams.
• Strict adherence to a strong testing culture (unit, integration, functional, and e2e tests).
• Proactive, independent, and result-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka and AWS services.
• Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Domain expertise in Fintech, payments, or financial systems.
• Knowledge of VAT, GST, and Sales Tax regulations.
• Prior experience in team management.
