TL;DR

Sales Training Officer (Sales/Education): Delivering onboarding and refresher training for field sales agents to drive business growth and improve agent performance with an accent on facilitation and coaching. Focus on implementing scenario-based learning, developing cluster leaders, and optimizing sales conversion rates in the field.

Location: Based in Durban, South Africa; must be mobile and able to travel between training sites across the KZN region

What you will do

  • Deliver onboarding and refresher training sessions for new and existing sales agents on product knowledge and sales approaches.
  • Coach and develop cluster leaders to improve their ability to guide their own teams.
  • Apply diverse facilitation methods, including role-play, digital tools, and scenario-based learning.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including tracking attendance, assessment results, and performance data.
  • Coordinate training logistics across multiple sites and flag content gaps to Regional Sales Managers.
  • Analyze training effectiveness and feed insights back to the wider sales training team.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Sales, Business Administration, Training & Development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in sales training, sales support, or a facilitation role.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging, results-oriented training sessions to a room.
  • Solid working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for recording and tracking performance data.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently without close daily supervision.
