What you will do

• Review and code Oncology Surgery and E/M cases to maximize reimbursement.
• Maintain a consistent quality accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
• Research coding scenarios independently and stay current on specialty-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and resolve documentation issues and trends.
• Participate in coding department meetings and continuing education sessions.

Requirements

• CPC or CCS-P certification is required (CPC-A is not accepted).
• Minimum 5 years of physician coding experience with recent hands-on production.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience specifically in Oncology Surgery.
• Proficient knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• CPMA certification.
• Experience with Cerner PowerChart.
• Prior auditing experience.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
