Simulation Applications Engineer (Robotics/Infra): Building and automating production-quality simulation pipelines for model training, evaluation, and HIL validation with an accent on CI/CD, orchestration, and GPU scaling. Focus on designing robust APIs for RL rollouts, optimizing cloud runtime reliability, and ensuring simulation artifacts are reproducible at scale.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for simulation code, environments, and tasks to ensure reproducibility and versioning.
• Automate model evaluation in SIL and orchestrate HIL runs, including metric computation and reporting.
• Design APIs and connectors for research and training systems to schedule and evaluate simulation batches.
• Implement scheduling and batching for large-scale concurrent rollouts (tens of thousands) for RL workloads.
• Build tooling and dashboards for measuring simulation health, throughput, and fidelity regressions.
• Manage artifact versioning, environment immutability, and resource quotas across the simulation farm.

Requirements

• Deep software engineering and infrastructure experience with a track record of building CI/CD at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and distributed task queues.
• Expertise in distributed compute and cloud GPU workload optimization.
• Experience building HIL/SIL workflows or simulation-to-hardware integrations.
• Must be based in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with RL tooling or large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience with task generators.
