TL;DR

Backend Engineer (Go/Ruby): Developing and scaling the messaging and bundling experience within the Purchase domain with an accent on microservices transition from monolith. Focus on building high-load APIs, ensuring system reliability, and implementing observability tools like Grafana and Datadog.

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania (2 days in office recommended)

Salary: €3,558 — €4,808 EUR

What you will do

• Extract monolithic features into microservices using Go and Ruby.
• Develop and scale APIs for mobile and web platforms to support 85 million users.
• Monitor service health and performance using Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Ensure quality and reliability by owning SLIs and SLOs.
• Collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams using GitHub for code reviews and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and (micro)services.
• Experience writing clean code for large-scale projects.
• Ability to identify system inefficiencies and propose technical solutions.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work from Vilnius or Kaunas.
