What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of Environment Artists to ensure artistic growth and quality.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Level Designers to meet visual targets.
• Develop high-quality environment assets, including props, interiors, and structural elements using a PBR pipeline.
• Lead worldbuilding efforts, including terrain and foliage implementation in Unreal Engine 5.
• Efficiently handle modeling, UV mapping, and baking for assets integrated into UE5.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in the game industry.
• Expert knowledge of Maya or similar 3D modeling software.
• Deep understanding of PBR texture and material pipelines.
• Proven ability in performant level construction and modular assembly techniques in Unreal Engine.
• A web-based portfolio showcasing 3D rendered work (hard-surface and organic) and lit environments.
• Must be based in or able to work in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Houdini.
• Knowledge of architecture, engineering fundamentals, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of color theory and visual composition principles.
• Passion for RPGs, science fiction, and tabletop games.
