What you will do

• Design, build, and own the full software development lifecycle from inception to production.
• Drive complex changes involving multiple components within a distributed system environment.
• Deliver quality updates including automated tests, metrics, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with team members to implement and maintain product features according to roadmaps.
• Review code and guide product feature changes to ensure high-quality releases.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in hiring activities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development and engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Proven experience working with distributed systems.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: C#, Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field (or equivalent experience).
• Location: Must be based in London

Nice to have

• Experience with database engines such as Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, AeroSpike, Vertica, or Redis.
• Knowledge of building micro-services, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
