What you will do

• Design and develop scalable Microservices using Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot in enterprise environments.
• Build agentic AI systems utilizing frameworks such as LangChain, LangChain4j, or Spring AI.
• Integrate LLMs and AI copilots into applications through robust RESTful APIs.
• Optimize AI model interactions through advanced prompt engineering.
• Implement system reliability practices, including observability, fallback mechanisms, and rate limiting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and produce high-quality technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience as an AI Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Java 17/21+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangChain4j, or Spring AI for multi-step reasoning and memory management.
• Must be based in or relocate to Portugal.
• Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit is required.
• English proficiency: B2/C1 level.
