What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java backend microservices and REST APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL for schema design and SQL query optimization.
• Integrate services with AWS cloud components including S3, SNS, SQS, and RDS.
• Maintain containerized services and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Author unit and integration tests to ensure high code coverage.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional backend web development experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Hands-on experience with Java and working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Docker.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot and event-driven architectures.
• Prior experience supporting federal government clients.
• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with SAFe Agile environments.
