What you will do

• Build large-scale, real-time services and applications leveraging massive datasets to power internal and external APIs.
• Develop tooling, libraries, and frameworks that support security research and data platform initiatives.
• Productionize prototypes into reliable internal tools, services, or platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, messaging systems, databases, and caching layers in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Security Researchers to realize high-impact security solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems such as data ingestion pipelines and databases.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming, specifically using Go.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with message queue technologies like Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub.
• Experience working with distributed databases like BigTable, Cloud Spanner, HBase, or Cassandra.
• Must be based in the continental United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with gRPC or REST and data serialization technologies (Protobuf, MessagePack).
• Experience building and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of internet protocols and how machines/services communicate.
• Knowledge of the Security domain.
