Location: Remote (Global). Not available for candidates working from China. Preference for overlap with UTC-7/8 (Pacific Time).

What you will do

• Parse machine learning papers and benchmark leaderboards to identify and extract key technical information.
• Compile data on model architectures, AI companies, and technical infrastructure.
• Analyze satellite images, permits, and financial disclosures to track AI data centers.
• Produce informed estimates of metrics regarding the physical infrastructure supporting AI.
• Collaborate with the research team to develop Data Insights and other research products.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines reliably with high attention to detail.
• Strong capacity to systematically extract information from a wide variety of technical sources.
• Understanding of AI topics, specifically model evaluations and data center infrastructure.
• Professional level English proficiency.
• Ability to attend occasional meetings during UTC-7/8 (Pacific Time) working hours.
