TL;DR

Trust Officer (Finance): Overseeing the administration of complex trust accounts and ensuring alignment with fiduciary standards and regulatory requirements with an accent on relationship management and estate planning. Focus on administering trust portfolios, interpreting legal documents, and coordinating with investment and tax partners to protect client interests.

Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Naples, FL or Fort Myers, FL (Remote 2x/month)

What you will do

  • Administer a portfolio of trusts, estates, and agency accounts in accordance with regulations and company policies.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for high-net-worth clients and beneficiaries.
  • Review and interpret trust instruments, wills, and legal documents to determine administrative actions.
  • Coordinate with investment, tax, legal, and compliance partners to ensure cohesive service.
  • Monitor account activities, investment performance, and cash flow needs.
  • Identify and address compliance risks and issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in trust administration, estate planning, or fiduciary services.
  • Strong understanding of fiduciary law, trust structures, and estate settlement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships with discretion and empathy.
  • Excellent analytical and document-interpretation skills.

Nice to have

  • CTFA designation or progress toward certification.
  • Experience working with Florida-specific trust laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with trust accounting systems and wealth management software.
