Salary: $185,500 - $270,000

What you will do

• Design and implement core platform backend software components for ML workflows.
• Lead technical decision-making on model serving strategies, orchestration, caching, and auto-scaling.
• Drive the development of monitoring and observability to optimize resource usage and reliability.
• Research and integrate state-of-the-art model serving frameworks and hardware accelerators.
• Lead large-scale technical initiatives across the ML ecosystem.
• Establish engineering best practices and contribute to open-source ML projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience focusing on machine learning systems or high-performance backend services.
• Expertise in Go, Python, or C++.
• Proficiency with ML inference and model serving frameworks such as Triton, RayServe, or vLLM.
• Experience with cloud platforms including GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Sunnyvale, CA for hybrid work.
• Strong communication skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building ML infrastructure platforms for model serving.
• Experience with the Ray framework and vLLM.
• Background in distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with GPU hardware acceleration and optimization for inference.
• Contributions to open-source ML serving frameworks.
