Presales Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Presales Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting the sales organization in technical pre-sales and selected post-sales activities for KRITIS Healthcare clients with an accent on FortiOS-based products and network security. Focus on designing security architectures, conducting PoCs, and acting as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts.

What you will do

• Support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales activities, and selected post-sales tasks.
• Lead technical sales engagements, including demonstrations, RfX, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for FortiOS-based products, managing domain use cases and competitive intelligence.
• Identify and qualify sales leads from a technical perspective to create upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Provide architecture and implementation design consultation and best practice guidance for strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Professional Services, and Partners on complex security opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be based in Northern Germany.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-sales support with proven success.
• Expert level knowledge of networking (LAN, WIFI, WAN, SDN) and network security (NGFW, IDS, encryption).
• Excellent proficiency in both German and English languages.
• Experience with installation and configuration of network devices, UNIX/Linux/Windows systems, and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Willingness to travel 20-50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Zero Trust, SASE, and Cloud architectures.
• Experience with Security Operations, including Orchestration, Automation, and SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with IT Security standards (BSI 200-x, ISO2700x, COBIT, NIST) and regulations (EU-DSGVO, BDSG, NIS-2/KRITIS).
• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
