Payload Engineer (Satellite/Telecommunications)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Define, design, and oversee telecommunications satellite constellation programs, specifically for repeaters and antennas.
• Participate in satellite mission definition, system specifications, and contract negotiations.
• Lead and review payload design, manufacturing, and testing at unit and system levels.
• Coordinate satellite launch campaigns and In-Orbit Test (IOT) campaigns.
• Monitor and report on the on-orbit health status of payloads.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar.
• At least 10 years of experience in payload procurement, equipment manufacturing, or in-orbit operations (GEO/LEO).
• Expertise in RF and microwave engineering, DSP, ASIC technology, and 5G standards.
• Proficiency in Python, Matlab, or similar programming languages.
• Eligible to live and work in the EU and capable of obtaining Personal Security Clearance (ESA/EU SECRET).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in other European languages.
