Model Finisher (3D Printing)

Model Finisher (3D Printing): Cleaning and finishing additive manufactured parts in accordance with specifications with an accent on quality control and precision hand-finishing. Focus on identifying non-conformances, using precision measurement tools, and maintaining strict safety standards.

Location: On-site in Raleigh, NC. Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylee status due to ITAR regulations.

Salary: $18.08 - $22.31 an hour

What you will do

• Perform finishing processes for additive manufactured parts including hand finishing, sanding, grit blasting, polishing, and build breakouts.
• Utilize precision tools such as calipers, dremels, drills, and soldering rods for part refinement.
• Review order and part information via computer workstations and maintain accurate order data.
• Identify non-conforming parts and collaborate with Quality Inspectors and Supervisors to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and assist in the maintenance of machinery and disposal of contaminated materials.
• Follow all safety and quality policies, including the consistent use of required PPE.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship, lawful permanent residency (green card), or refugee/asylee status (ITAR compliance required).
• English: Fluent speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use calculators and measuring instruments (scales, calipers).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 70 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Craft-oriented experience such as jewelry making or woodworking.
• Prior experience using hand and power tools or precision measuring instruments.
