What you will do
- Develop, optimize, and apply protocols for human normal and tumor organoid cultures.
- Perform single-cell profiling and genomic screening of organoid lines.
- Maintain organoid lines and ensure primary human material is processed according to ethics and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with computational researchers and interdisciplinary teams to formulate and validate hypotheses.
- Prepare genomic libraries and perform meticulous sample tracking and quality control.
- Generate reliable data for publication within the ERC-funded DARC MATTER project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in cell culture.
- Hands-on experience with tissue culture and patient-derived organoid models.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work onsite in Milan, Italy.
Nice to have
- Experience in human tissue and blood processing, histology, and immunohistochemistry.
- Expertise in genomic techniques, transfection, and knockdown experiments (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9, siRNA, shRNA).
- Experience managing large-scale projects.
