What you will do

• Manage news content across online and digital platforms, collaborating closely with TV and radio teams.
• Lead and develop a team of reporters to ensure exceptional multi-platform output.
• Edit, sub-edit, and publish stories on hirify.global News Online to maximize audience reach.
• Generate original story ideas and treatments for local, regional, and national audiences.
• Utilize social media as both a newsgathering tool and a primary means of promoting content.

Requirements

• Substantial news experience with a proven track record of strong editorial judgement.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver news across multiple digital and broadcast platforms.
• Deep knowledge of the news landscape within the North West region.
• Experience acting as a daily news editor and sub-editor.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support and challenge reporters of varying experience levels.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Salford office.
