What you will do

• Apply accurate keywords, captions, and metadata to images to ensure searchability and reusability across platforms.
• Record and maintain rights information, including permitted uses, territories, terms, and restrictions.
• Process and track internal and external image licensing requests through to approval.
• Support syndication workflows by preparing content packages and coordinating with editorial stakeholders.
• Liaise with picture agencies, photographers, and contributors regarding permissions, credits, and invoices.
• Maintain usage logs and produce periodic reports on licensing and syndication for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in image libraries, photo desks, publishing, or Digital Asset Management (DAM) environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply consistent metadata standards at pace.
• Understanding of image rights and licensing concepts such as copyright and usage restrictions.
• Good written communication skills for creating captions and managing partner correspondence.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

Nice to have

• Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) or content management systems (CMS).
• Knowledge of metadata tagging, controlled vocabularies, and basic taxonomy principles.
• Proficiency in Excel for tracking logs and reporting.
• Basic understanding of image file handling, resolution, and delivery standards.
