TL;DR
Software Engineer III/Senior (Infra Platform): Building and operating the internal systems and platform that engineers use to deploy and operate the service with an accent on automation, reliability, and developer experience. Focus on automating operational workflows, improving CI/CD infrastructure, and solving complex distributed systems challenges.
Location: Remote for candidates outside of the Bay Area, Hybrid for those in San Francisco. Must be US-based and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Salary: $165,500 – $247,500 (depending on level and location)

What you will do
- Build and improve internal tools, deployment workflows, and the overall engineering platform used by all engineers.
- Automate operational workflows and improve system reliability using software engineering disciplines.
- Enhance developer experience by contributing to builder tools and CI/CD infrastructure.
- Maintain high production uptime through improved observability and incident response processes.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to the technical direction and architecture of the platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems in AWS or other cloud environments.
- Proficiency in a statically typed language like Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
- Must be based in the US and legally authorized to work on a permanent basis without current or future sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, nix, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or gRPC.
- Knowledge of observability platforms like Datadog or Honeycomb.
- Experience with internal developer platforms, networking, or security-focused systems.
