What you will do
- Develop detailed COGS models to track and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Analyze inventory health and identify slow-moving stock to optimize working capital.
- Create dashboards and reports to increase financial transparency of supplier performance.
- Support the development of category-specific supplier strategies aligned with value creation goals.
- Provide commercial data and analytics for transformation projects, including supply chain automation and AI inventory initiatives.
- Prepare data-heavy presentations and action plans for executive and supplier meetings.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Degree in commerce, accounting, economics, or finance.
- Extensive experience using relational databases and SQL.
- Proven ability to tell stories with data and engage stakeholders through visualization.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be based in or able to work from Sydney, NSW.
Nice to have
- Previous commercial retail experience.
- Experience with Tableau.
- Understanding of category management and buying principles such as shelf management, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
