What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-throughput backend services using Python.
• Build and optimize real-time event-driven processing pipelines.
• Implement and scale distributed microservice architectures within Azure.
• Ensure system observability, operational resilience, and failure handling.
• Collaborate on low-latency data ingestion from connected platforms and devices.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK for hybrid work requirements.
• Strong hands-on Python engineering experience in production environments.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Practical experience with messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Experience handling high-throughput or streaming workloads.
• Strong operational mindset regarding scaling, retries, and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT, telemetry, or time-series data systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI.
• Experience with Kafka, Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Event Hub.
