Software Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hod HaSharon, Israel; hybrid schedule with most office-based roles onsite three days a week

What you will do

• Design and implement core platform software for Software Defined Vehicles.
• Build distributed components for workload orchestration, software deployment, vehicle communication, and system management.
• Design software solutions and independently drive them from architecture through production.
• Investigate complex technical problems and deliver robust, production-quality solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies.
• Use Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and AI-assisted development throughout the software lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and at least 2 years of experience developing production software; exceptional candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent programming skills in at least one modern programming language.
• Experience developing software on Linux.
• Experience designing, debugging, and maintaining complex software systems and understanding large codebases.
• Ability to independently design software components and make sound technical decisions.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, networking, asynchronous programming, concurrency, or similar systems-level concepts.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong technical curiosity, independent learning ability, and ownership of technical decisions.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted software development, including LLMs, AI agents, and AI-powered development tools; ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated solutions.
