Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK) — requires presence in the office 2 days per week (usually Tuesday & Wednesday).

What you will do

• Build scalable backend systems and platforms that abstract supplier-specific logic for customers.
• Develop and optimize systems supporting supplier connectivity and the requote/reserve/book process.
• Implement post-booking actions for both customers and suppliers.
• Design and operate cloud-native platforms using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and commercial teams to deliver dependable, commercially impactful solutions.

Requirements

• Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed services.
• Proficiency in designing and operating cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of messaging infrastructure, streaming technologies, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to solve scalability, latency, and operational resilience challenges.
• Experience working with various API technologies and external suppliers.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from the Manchester office (2 days/week).

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering, including agentic coding workflows.
