What you will do

• Own the end-to-end release and deployment lifecycle, including building, packaging, deploying, verifying, and rollback.
• Develop and support Octopus Deploy projects, lifecycles, channels, and variables.
• Implement deployment automation using Ansible playbooks and roles to ensure idempotent changes.
• Maintain Git-based release workflows in GitHub and build CI pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Standardize deployment patterns across applications through templates and reusable roles.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, manage secrets, and drive root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional experience as a DevOps, Release, or Deployment Engineer supporting production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Octopus Deploy and Ansible.
• Working knowledge of GitHub PR workflows, tagging, and release management.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts, artifact management, and versioning.
• Must be located in Portugal

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Knowledge of IIS/.NET deployments, Nginx, or VOIP protocols (SIP, FreeSwitch).
• Experience administering AWS/Azure tenants or virtualization platforms (VMWare, HyperV).
