What you will do
- Own the end-to-end release and deployment lifecycle, including building, packaging, deploying, verifying, and rollback.
- Develop and support Octopus Deploy projects, lifecycles, channels, and variables.
- Implement deployment automation using Ansible playbooks and roles to ensure idempotent changes.
- Maintain Git-based release workflows in GitHub and build CI pipelines in GitHub Actions.
- Standardize deployment patterns across applications through templates and reusable roles.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures, manage secrets, and drive root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional experience as a DevOps, Release, or Deployment Engineer supporting production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Octopus Deploy and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of GitHub PR workflows, tagging, and release management.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts, artifact management, and versioning.
- Must be located in Portugal
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of IIS/.NET deployments, Nginx, or VOIP protocols (SIP, FreeSwitch).
- Experience administering AWS/Azure tenants or virtualization platforms (VMWare, HyperV).
