What you will do

• Partner with SCQR leaders to identify high-leverage opportunities where AI can eliminate toil and accelerate decisions.
• Design and build AI agents, RAG pipelines, and MCP server integrations using real supply chain and procurement data.
• Develop and ship production-ready tools for daily operational use within the organization.
• Conduct coaching sessions and create documentation to enable team members to maintain AI capabilities.
• Create reusable AI components and playbooks for future co-op cohorts.
• Present progress and measured impact to SCQR leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Machine Learning, enrolled in a co-op program.
• Ability to commute on-site to Foster City, CA.
• Minimum 12-week commitment (up to 6 months), available at least 20 hours per week.
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems (function calling, tool use, multi-step planning).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with LLM provider APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI).
• Experience with RAG, fine-tuning, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) server development.

Nice to have

• Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or reliability engineering.
• Experience shipping AI-powered tools used by actual users.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience with LLM evaluations, observability, and safety tooling.
