TL;DR

Field CTO (Analytics & AI): Leading the technical track for strategic Analytics and AI opportunities across EMEA with an accent on GenAI workloads on Postgres, including vector search and RAG. Focus on designing reference architectures, advising CxO-level executives, and converting complex customer demands into winning technical solutions.

What you will do

  • Own the full technical track for EMEA Analytics and AI opportunities from the first architecture call to the technical win.
  • Lead the technical motion for AI and GenAI use cases, specifically focusing on Postgres vector search, retrieval, RAG, and agentic workloads.
  • Run proofs of concept (POCs), benchmarks, and sizing, including services scoping and complex migrations.
  • Design reference architectures and clearly frame EDB's technical differentiation in competitive situations.
  • Provide executive advisory and thought leadership at the CxO and board level for strategic accounts.
  • Build playbooks and reference architectures to enable the regional SE organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of deep hands-on expertise with Postgres, analytical/OLAP workloads, data warehousing, and operational data systems.
  • Current experience designing and building AI and GenAI solutions (vector search, embeddings, RAG, and agentic patterns).
  • Strong track record in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or field-CTO roles for enterprise data and AI deals.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and advising at the CxO and board level.
  • Must be based in Europe (EMEA).
  • Willingness to travel across EMEA as deals demand.
