What you will do

• Lead the design and development of real-time conversational AI systems using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Optimize voice pipeline components including VAD tuning, turn-taking, and latency management.
• Build agentic LLM architectures featuring tool calling, multi-agent orchestration, and conversation state management.
• Integrate voice agents with internal services via authenticated APIs and telephony systems like Twilio.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices in voice AI architecture and real-time systems.
• Monitor platform health metrics such as call efficacy and ASR accuracy to prioritize technical improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience focusing on scalable backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 1+ years of production experience with Voice AI, conversational AI, or real-time audio systems.
• Hands-on experience with STT/TTS pipelines (e.g., Deepgram, ElevenLabs) and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude).
• Proficiency with AWS services including ECS Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Kafka/MSK.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, WebSocket protocols, and relational databases (MySQL).
• Must be based in the United States

• Experience with RAG architectures, AWS Bedrock, and vector stores.
